Street Lighting

How to report faults

Properly lit streets and roads can help in the reduction of crime and the fear of crime.  Many people feel insecure in badly lit areas and unlit traffic signs may result in road users missing hazard warnings or other important signage. If you become aware of a faulty street light or a traffic bollard/sign etc., make a note of it and report it as soon as you can.

When reporting any fault give the road/street name, the town or village and the lamppost or bollard number (if possible) plus the type of fault; it may be a flickering light, a light out altogether or a lamp that is on during daylight hours.  If the damage has been caused by an accident or by vandals, it will help to notify those details too.  Help to keep your neighbourhood well lit and safe.
