HOW WE STARTED:
Bassetlaw Neighbourhood
Watch Association was formed in 1996 to provide services, advice
and support for
Neighbourhood Watch groups in Bassetlaw who wished to join the
Association. On the demise of their Association, we were
joined
by groups from Newark & Sherwood in 2001 and now cover the
whole area of B Division of Nottinghamshire Police Force. The Association
is covered by a written constitution and controlled by a Management
Team elected by members at each Annual General Meeting. Volunteers to serve on the Management Team are always welcome. Click on the designated link below to find out more. The Management Team has a Partnership Agreement with Nottinghamshire Police, B Division, and an outline copy can also be viewed by clicking on the designated link below. Our office
is at Worksop Police Station. |

WHY WE ARE HERE :
Neighbourhood Watch is a partnership where people come together to make their communities safer. It involves the Police, Community Safety departments of local authorities, other voluntary organisations and, above all, individuals and families who want to make their neighbourhoods better places to live. The Police can`t deal with the problems and issues arising from crime and anti-social behaviour alone; they need the help of the whole community. Neighbourhood Watch provides a way for local people to play an important part in addressing this balance and making their communities safer.
Please explore our site to learn more about us, the area we cover, our partners, the benefits of membership, how to contact us, how to join us and our latest news and information. There are also extensive pages to help detect and reduce crime in and around our community.
