Allotment Watch

1

People who have allotments can now become members of Allotment Watch, which is being developed by the Bassetlaw Neighbourhood Watch Association (BNWA).  The aim is for the Allotment Watch to function in a similar way to Neighbourhood Watch.  Each allotment site will subscribe at the rate of  £10 per annum per site and a committee or one designated person will be responsible for each site.  Allotment sites are a prime target for theft and vandalism and we’d like to try and eradicate this.

Membership of Allotment Watch will give all the usual benefits and assistance of Neighbourhood Watch; e.g. access to Ringmaster, the BNWA newsletter, the website and eligibility for discount prices on property marking kits, shed alarms etc.

If you want to learn more about Allotment Watch, and how to register, details can be obtained from the Neighbourhood Watch office on 01909-473875 or from a Management Team member.

Mobile Rural Contact Point

1

The current timetable for the Mobile Rural Contact Point can be viewed by clicking on the link below.  The contact point is staffed by a police officer and a Nottinghamshire County Council Contact advisor who are able to give advice and provide information to people. Their aim is to visit around 80 villages across Bassetlaw, Newark and Sherwood every month to give a contact point for those places which do not have a permanent police station or council offices.
